This October, in addition to their assembly, pupils across the school marked Black History Month 2026 with a poetry competition. This year's theme focussed on "Honouring Our Communities". Pupils were asked to write poems celebrating the achievements of the Black community. We were blown away by the creativity and thoughtfulness in representing our Beacon Values.

Choosing a top three was no easy task, but huge congratulations go to:

1. Sundr, Year 7

2. Kale, Year 7

3. Paige, Year 7

Our winners were presented with Praise Points and a sweet treat to celebrate their success. Thank you to everyone who took part. #ProudToSucceed
