27 year 8 pupils had a fantastic morning celebrating International Women's Day and took part in a collaborative workshop with schools from across the UK and Canada to commemorate the work of women in both World War & World War 2 and the legacy they carry forward today. Pupils were treated to a special breakfast and learned about the valuable contribution of women during both world wars culminating in a collaborative project to design a virtual memorial which will be shared with the Canadian High Commission. Through inspiring UK and Canadian stories, students explored the idea that what they have to offer is key and that they all have something valuable they can contribute to their community and the wider world.
Through creativity and reflection, students explored how these stories continue to inspire new generations to make a difference.
