This year our Discovery Week is for Year 7-10.
15+ different experiences, carefully curated by our staff.
Making Your Choice
- To book your child’s place on a paid trip, you must select that trip in WisePay and pay the deposit.
- Booking will open on Tuesday 1st November 2022 4pm.
- All selections must be made by Friday 11th November 2022.
- Once deposits have been paid on WisePay this is non-refundable.
- All pupils must return the consent form to Reception by Friday 11thNovember to indicate which trip they are attending. Please ensure that you have paid the deposit before returning the slip as the place on the trip will not be confirmed until then.
- We will not be able to accommodate swapping trips at a later date unless there are exceptional circumstances so please bear this in mind.
- We are aware that some slight alterations may be made to trips depending upon the companies we are working with. If this happens, we will work hard to ensure that we provide a similar experience for the pupils.

Today you will spend the day at school recapping the expedition training you undertook at school in April. You will then have some time to plan your walking route for the next 2 days.
Day 2
Expedition Day 1
You will be taken to the Bromsgrove area to begin your walk. You will camp overnight and get ready for your second day walking.
Day 3
Expedition Day 2
Your second day walking. You will complete your route and be brought back to school to have a restful night’s sleep in your own bed.
Day 4
Expedition review and presentation day.
Today you will spend the day at school reviewing your expedition experience. You will work with your team to deliver your presentation to your assessor.

Expedition review and presentation day.
Today you will spend the day at school reviewing your expedition experience. You will work with your team to deliver your presentation to your assessor.

Push yourself to the limits on this fantastic trip where you will get the opportunity to take on the UK’s best rollercoaster, climbing walls, caving experiences and reportedly the UK’s biggest Aquapark. *Please note the itinerary order will vary for each year group.

This trip will be an opportunity to delve deeper into the topic of psychology, discover yourself and create mind-blowing experiments.
Day 1
Psychology Film Day- Students will be watching the following films: Inside out and a David Attenborough documentary. We will use our psychological knowledge to analyse what we watch. Pupils can bring their own snacks.
Day 2
Self-Care Day:
Students will have the opportunity to participate in mindfulness activities. They will be taught how to look after their mental health and will take part in some mental health themed crafts, visual illusions colouring, vision boards and psychology games.
Day 3
Experiment Day:
Students will be shown how psychology is all around us by seeing and partaking in real-life experiments.
In the afternoon they will design their own experiments and present them to the rest of their peers.

Paris - 18th-21st July 2023
This trip includes all accommodation at a centre just outside Paris, transport and activities. All meals (from Monday evening) are also included. This trip departs on Monday 18th July. More information and parental meetings will take place later in the term. Immerse yourself in the arts in Paris.

Onsite activities creating a stop motion animation and a dramatic performance inspired by Tolkien’s creation The Lord of The Rings.
Day 1
Movie Day: Watching Lord of the Rings for inspiration.
Day 2
Split into small groups, story boarding, creating characters (paper puppets/playdough/bring in stuff from home), painting scenery for films.
Day 3
Recording using the stop motion technology, make adjustments to films. Upload films, watch each groups films, and finish Lord of the Rings from day one if there is time.
