Head Student Team 2025-26

Congratulations to our new Head Student Team on their successful appointments.  We are looking forward to working with them as they bring their ideas to the role.

A message from our Senior Team

We are honoured to represent Barr Beacon as the Head Students.  We see these significant roles as a great opportunity and privilege to act on behalf of our school.

We recognise the incredible work our predecessors have done in striving for improved mental health support and development of study skills and enrichment opportunities. We look forward to continuing their work and developing our own ideas further.  We will be collaborating with both staff and students to generate ideas and then drive them forward towards successful implementation.

"When I joined Barr Beacon School in 2019, I was the only student from my primary school. I felt nervous about taking such a big step into the unknown, but the support I received helped me grow into the young adult I am today.

Because of this experience, I understand how important it is to make younger students feel welcomed and included from the very beginning. As Head Student, I want to ensure they feel part of the Barr Beacon community straight away and have the same positive experience I did.

The school’s motto, “Proud to Succeed,” is something I carry with me every day. It reminds me to always give my best, support those around me, and take pride in everything I do, whether it’s in lessons, extracurricular activities, or helping others.

I am proud to be Head Student and proud to be a part of Barr Beacon. I’ve truly enjoyed my time here, and I want to give back to the school that has given me so much. I want all students to know they can come to me for support, advice, or simply a friendly face."

"It is with great pride and gratitude that I introduce myself as a new Head Student of Barr Beacon. I am truly honoured to have been given the opportunity to represent our student body and contribute to the ongoing growth and spirit of our school community. I have been continually inspired by the dedication of our staff and the passion of my fellow students.

I look forward to working closely with both students and staff in the year ahead, and I am committed to serving as a reliable, approachable, and proactive representative. Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey and i hope my time as Head Student will leave behind more than just memories, but a small legacy of kindness, growth, and positive change"

I have always admired the work and dedication of Head Students and always aspired to take on that role one day. To think that I have now been honoured with the position of Deputy Head Student is truly a privilege and a role I accept with gratitude.

When I first joined Barr Beacon School from a small primary school, I found the transition quite overwhelming. However, the school's supportive environment, diverse extracurricular activities, and leadership opportunities have quickly helped me find my footing. Through involvement in various clubs and roles, I've developed confidence, communication skills, and a sense of belonging. Barr Beacon has truly nurtured my development, helping me to evolve me into the more confident and engaged individual I am today.

A constant thing throughout my journey is my unwavering passion to make a meaningful impact, alongside a pursuit of excellence in all that I undertake. This commitment has pushed me to embrace opportunities for growth and leadership, and now, as Deputy Head Student, I am honoured to serve our school community. I am ready to give back to the community that has given me so much.

As I embark on this role, I make a promise to every student: I will be present. Not just in the corridors, but in the moments that matter most. I will do this by listening to all concerns, celebrating every achievement, and standing by through challenges. My mission is to lead by example, and to ensure that our school remains a place where every student feels heard, valued, and empowered. I aspire to continue to embody our motto, "Proud to Succeed," and make this journey one of collective growth and achievement

Deputy Head Student - D Imaji

My name is E Chamberlain and I am one of the deputy head students for 2025- 2026.

I'm thoroughly excited by the opportunity to share new ideas, work with the head student team and get involved with both the staff and students to bring everyone together. I have always strived for the best and my determination ensures I stay motivated. I am a massive animal lover and in my free time, volunteer at a local vet practice and the local stables in hopes to become a Veterinarian. I believe that during my time at Barr Beacon I have been filled with countless opportunities to shape me as the person I am today, ranging from Duke of Edinburgh to a Ski trip to America, and I hope to share my confidence and strength with the school community.

I’m incredibly proud to be Deputy Head Student at a school that’s shaped so much of who I am. Since joining Barr Beacon School in Year 7, I’ve grown both academically and personally, supported by its strong sense of community. I’m hardworking and determined, shown through my involvement in the Duke of Edinburgh Award, Youth Parliament, and volunteering to support younger students’ reading. Giving back is important to me, and I hope to inspire confidence and ambition in others, just as this school has inspired me. As Deputy Head Student, I’m excited to help continue making Barr Beacon a place where every student feels seen, supported and proud to succeed.
